Meet Mr. Joshua Cascio
Hi, I’m Mr. Joshua Cascio, creator of the Virtual Mentorship & Career Skills Academy, educator, father of three, and Christ‑centered mentor.
“Are they truly ready for real life beyond the classroom?”
“Where can they turn outside of our home to find guidance that shapes character, builds confidence, and prepares them for life?”
I’ve wrestled with these questions too. As both an educator and a father of 3, I saw a deeper need: bright students were passing tests, but still struggling to face life. They could complete worksheets but not manage emotions. They could speak in class but lacked confidence in the real world. That’s why I launched MCS Academy: to bridge the gap between school and real life with mentorship, identity formation, and real world tools that classrooms often miss.
With over a decade of combined experience in education, mentorship, caregiving, wellness consulting, and emotional healing, I’ve walked beside hundreds of students on their personal and academic journeys. Over the past six years specifically, I’ve served youth and families throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties in Florida, meeting them in classrooms, foster homes, and life’s unexpected crossroads. These experiences have shown me one thing clearly: so many young people are still searching for direction, for confidence, for belonging, and for purpose.
Since 2021, I’ve also served on the Board for the Charismatic Renewal in the Diocese of Venice, deepening my commitment to Spirit‑led discernment and prayer ministry. Every part of MCS Academy reflects this foundation. Because mentorship isn’t just academic, it’s sacred. And every student deserves to be seen, guided, and equipped for the life they’re called to live.

We guide students in discovering who they are, what they value, and where their gifts are meant to shine. Through personality discovery, calling conversations, and vision building exercises, students learn to define purpose with confidence, grounded in truth, not trends.
We teach students how to identify, express, and process emotions like anxiety, anger, fear, sadness, and shame. Through guided mentorship, prayer, journaling, and Christ‑centered breathing exercises, students develop emotional awareness, self‑control, and lasting inner peace.
We expose students to meaningful work beyond academics, from basic tool skills to creative trades. Students explore how to work with their hands, solve real world problems, and appreciate purpose driven careers that don’t always require college, but always require character.
We empower students to take ownership of their financial future. They learn how to budget, save, understand credit, explore side businesses, and use money as a tool, not a trap. Resume writing, career pathways, and mindset training are built into every lesson.
We help students express ideas visually and creatively through design projects, digital posters, presentations, and storytelling. Students learn how to communicate visually in the digital world while building confidence and purpose through their creativity.
We coach students in public speaking, peer interaction, and emotional discernment. Whether it’s giving a presentation or navigating conflict, students learn how to speak clearly, listen deeply, ask good questions, and connect with others from a place of empathy and leadership.
We guide students step by step through planning, designing, and launching personal or business websites. Students gain real technical skills while learning healthy online habits, responsible screen use, and digital balance in a hyper connected world.
Students learn how to code, think logically, and build simple apps or games using languages like HTML, CSS, or block coding tools. We help students shift from passive tech use to active digital creation preparing them to solve problems and innovate with confidence.
We cover the practical life lessons most schools ignore: how to manage time, read contracts, understand government documents, prepare ID paperwork, and stay organized in daily responsibilities. Students develop self‑discipline and learn how to handle real‑life tasks with maturity.
At the heart of our Academy is this pillar: teaching students how to pause, pray, and live out their identity in Christ. We draw from Scripture, the power of breath and stillness, and spiritual disciplines to help students find peace, clarity, and strength in every season of life.
How It Works: A Month in MCS Academy
Each month blends powerful live mentorship, professional inspiration, and optional personalized support to fuel deep transformation:
- Weekly Group Sessions: Mondays & Tuesdays (6:00–7:30 PM EST). Each session is rooted in one of our signature 10 Pillars of Growth & Purpose, featuring interactive, age‑based breakout discussions designed to inspire confidence, clarity, and character.
- Guest Speaker Series: Every other Tuesday, students hear from inspiring professionals who share their real world journeys of faith, purpose, and perseverance followed by live Q&A.
- Optional 1‑on‑1 Mentorship Sessions: Families may choose to add up to four personalized 60‑minute sessions per month. These Spirit‑led, student centered conversations go deeper, offering support in identity, healing, confidence, direction, and emotional growth.
- Ongoing Support: Mid month encouragement check ins and tools for growth tied to each month’s Pillar.
